OUR STORY

First located in the back of a gas station in Grand Rapids, MI, we had one door, no windows, and only three machines. That was in 1959. We started operations as Central Tool & Die under the leadership of Gordon Hendricks, the late father of the company's current president, David Hendricks. In 1964, we expanded our manufacturing capabilities and took on the name Walker Tool & Die, Inc.

With at least 10 expansions under our belt over the last 55 years, our facility has grown from a small garage to a state-of-the-art 100,000 square foot plant. The ability to adapt, invest and evolve to meet the changing demands of the industry and our customers has allowed us to grow into who we are today. We CNC machine all metal stamping die components for unsurpassed accuracy. During the tool manufacturing process, our experienced and highly skilled tradesmen assemble, productionize and validate both the tooling and the customer product. Our cross-functional team uses the very latest computerized scanning and inspection technologies to ensure precision and durability.
