Recognizing a need for custom plastic thermoforming services in the southeast, Bill Trometer started Asheville Thermoform Plastics in October 1998, in a 2,400 square-foot incubator facility.


From an initial focus on dunnage and thin-gauge packaging trays, which were manufactured using hand-made molds and fixtures, our competencies have expanded and evolved.  Through the addition of 5-axis CNC routing machines, solid modeling technology, coordinate measuring machine and additional forming equipment, we now boast the ability to design, reverse engineer, and manufacture precision components in heavy gauge as well as thin, for several industries including communications, medical, and construction.


A second generation of the family is currently positioning the company for growth, and we now own our 15,000 square foot building situated on five acres of prime industrial land ready for expansion.  Design,&... [Details]
