In most cases, people will think that the cost of color masterbatch is higher than that of toner. Today, however, editor will cite some cases where it is more economical to use toner instead of color masterbatch. The reason is very simple. Several low price pigment combinations will form the effect of high price pigment coloring.
In addition, there are two conditions that will prove more affordable to use color masterbatch:
1. Pigments are used in color matching of toner, but plastic manufacturers are not familiar with pigments, and the economy of pigments is uncertain. Repeated color matching experiments will result in a common waste of manpower and materials, which will happen in many cases. Otherwise, this phenomenon will not happen when using color masterbatch.
2. Because the products colored with color masterbatch are not of the same grade compared with the products colored with color powder, the selling price of the products will be higher, and the higher price will often be greater than the increased cost of using color masterbatch, so color masterbatch coloring is more economical.
