Away from the problem with
What is the manufacturing material of the manhole cover? Is there indeed a manhole cover designed and put into production using fiber composite materials? Or is it possible for composite materials to replace steel as manhole covers?

The "paper manhole cover" is actually a fiber composite material, which can be used in subway landscape engineering. It is all located in the green belt and can withstand adult trampling. It is preliminarily determined that the cover will only be damaged unless it is crushed by a vehicle.

It is completely achievable to make manhole covers made of composite materials technically. But I would like to say that there are three aspects that limit its large-scale replacement of traditional materials for manhole covers.
1. In terms of strength, the strength of composite materials of the same weight is greater or far greater (depending on what kind of fiber) steel. However, the density of composite materials is low. In other words, to achieve the strength of steel manhole covers, the thickness of composite manhole covers will increase. I don't know whether this will affect its use.
2. In terms of price, the raw materials of composite materials, including auxiliary materials, are higher than traditional steel, and there is no small gap .
3. From the perspective of practical application, whether the manhole cover is steel or composite material can achieve its own function, so there is no necessity and urgency to replace the material.
