The main differences between PVC and PU are:
1. The temperature resistance is different, the maximum temperature resistance of PVC is 65℃, and the maximum temperature resistance of PU can reach 90℃.
2. The wear resistance is different, the PU material is more wear-resistant, and the life of PVC is very short.
3. PU is soft, PVC is relatively hard, unless a lot of plasticizer is added in PVC. Plasticizer is an additive that makes PVC soft, but the food standards have strict requirements on the content of plasticizer, so soft PVC, plasticizer is actually far from meeting environmental requirements.
4. In terms of price, the price of PU leather is more than double that of PVC leather, and the price of some special requirements of PU leather is 2-3 times higher than that of PVC leather. Generally, the pattern paper required for PU leather can only be used 4-5 times and then it is scrapped; the pattern roller has a long service life, so the cost of PU leather is higher than that of PVC leather.
