In the automotive coating industry, after using the spray gun needle for a period of time, I will find that the parts in contact with the nylon joints (guide and sealing) will wear out. The gun needle is made of tungsten steel, while the nylon connector is made of nylon. Why is the tungsten steel worn out by the relatively soft nylon material?
