I am in the direction of materials, polymer materials or inorganic materials are more promising?

I am studying chemistry and I am about to choose my direction. I want to study materials, and I prefer the course of organic chemistry, but I don't know which polymer material or inorganic material is more promising? What industries are these two directions mainly engaged in? What are the future research directions? Thank!
