What's the future of hot stamping and common stamping?

I have done a year of cold stamping automobile mold design, now want to change the job, a company is to do stamping hot forming. Should I always do cold stamping or go to hot stamping to be an apprentice from the beginning? There are giants in this industry, please give some advice!
