Can CNC surface grinder replace 618 hand surface grinder?

I am an intern in junior college. By chance, I met a grinder. I feel that 618 hand-held surface grinder is not very promising in the mold processing industry. I wonder if there is a CNC surface grinder, or other types of work, fitter? Machining?
