Advanced Component Technologies, also known as ACT, was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary through the acquisition of Carroll George Company by Angus Industries. It manufactures composite thermoplastic sheets with discontinuous fiber reinforcement using thermoforming, die cutting and molding processes. Advanced Component Technologies serves the automotive, agricultural, construction, mining, forestry, recreational and military markets. The company produces components using plastic sheet, polyurethane foam, fabric and polymer-based facings. It provides acoustical and plastic and esthetic trim components. Advanced Component Technologies also offers headliners, sunvisors, roof caps, engine covers, hoods, floor mats, and interior and exterior fenders. The company works with a team of more than 200 staff members. It operates an over 144,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Advanced Component Technologies has achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification.
