About Parker Tool and Die Parker Tool and Die is the culmination of four generations of tool makers starting in the 1920's. Back then, Herb Parker owned a shop where he designing and patented the egg timer, By the late 1940's WWII veteran son Robert was running his own shop with apprentice son Tim and grandson Mike. By 1976, Tim and Mike founded the current Parker Tool and Die, Inc. in the Chicago suburb of Mundelein, IL. The world has changed since Herb built his original Egg timer, but the progression of innovation of the Parker family hasn't. Tim and Mike have gone on to built stealth technology panels, advanced surveillance equipment, complex tools for stents and angioplasty, advanced tools improving machine quality, and huge numbers of specialty tools and prototypes. After four generations, they are masters at the craft, and easily qualify as the toolmaker's toolmaker.
