It is Tom’s personal commitment . . . shared on every level, from the president’s office to the manufacturing floor. Now unfurled as a website banner, it is the combined voices of over 200 dedicated New Concept Technology employees pledging, ”Customer First - Always!”
The American Dream . . .
His Tool & Die Certificate looks exactly like his father’s. Perhaps it is easier to dream of your own business if you’re lucky enough to be born in New Freedom, Pennsylvania.
But it was not luck that spurred Tom Baughman to dream. It was a work ethic that is the fabric of American life, instilled early on by his father’s example.
Started in a Basement . . .
However, Tom was indeed lucky. He met and married Lisa Bower in 1976. Ten years and three children later, New Concept Machine and Tool was born in the basement of Tom and Lisa’s home. Wayne Schuchart and Dale Kurtz joined Tom to forge a lifelong partnership, adding engineering, stamping and molding to become New Concept Technology.
