McPherson Plastics has been family owned and operated since it's creation. The beginnings of the company developed from tool making, and the precision and accuracy of that trade carry through to all operations in the company today.
Bernard McPherson, Sr., a veteran tool maker at Span-Brass (now Parker-Hannifin), always tinkered with new ideas. McPherson Plastics was formed in 1960 when Bud Sr. accepted a side job through Span-Brass to produce plastic ferrules in his garage.
The first building was erected on the current production site in 1968. By 1972, the customer base and workforce had grown to require expansion of the original building. The additional production space was sufficient for several years, with the growth forcing additional administrative space to be added in 1985. Less than 9 years later, the ground was broken once again. By 1995 an expansion doubling the size of the facility was completed.
