Founded in 1948, Jet Plastics is one of the pioneers in the plastics industry.  Emerging from the need for plastics in the developing aerospace industry after the Second World War, we have established a tradition of innovation and service.  As we eagerly move forward, we are confident and determined to maintain our traditions and continue to build on our rich history.

Founder Lloyd Johnson created Jet Plastics in 1948 as Jet Specialties. From his service in the U.S. Navy as one of the developing members of the Jet assisted take off program; Lloyd was presented with the opportunity to fulfil the demand for polyethylene tubing for the emerging Jet aircraft industry in the western United States.
