Today, Phillips-Medisize is one of the leading global players in the drug delivery device and connected health space for innovation, development, and manufacturing services and solutions

We employ over 5,500 people, and have 26 production locations around the world. We are the partner of choice to some of the most respected companies in each of the market segments that we serve.

1964 – The company is born

Robert Cervenka and Louie Vokurka establish plastic injection molding company Phillips Plastics Corporation, located in the small town of Phillips, Wisconsin, USA.

1983 – Innovation matters

Design Development Center opens in Hudson, Wisconsin, providing design and development, manufacturing development, clinical development, and program management services.

1992 – A new “injection” for the business

First dedicated medical facility opens in a 20,000 square foot (1900 square meter) building in Menomonie, Wisconsin, focusing on drug delivery device molding and assembly.

1996 to 2005 – a decade of increased expansion

The company opens 4 new facilities for scalable manufacturing, diverse injection molding technologies as well as innovation and development centers across the U.S.

2011 – Going global

Phillips-Medisize was born of the merger of Phillips Plastics and European-based contract manufacturer Medisize. With combined expertise and a global footprint, the company ushers in a new era of leading-edge technologies and innovations across the medical space.

2013 –Entering markets in Asia and Mexico

Phillips-Medisize acquires facilities in Suzhou, China, and Queretaro, Mexico. Shortly thereafter launches CMO production in Suzhou of our first drug delivery device for the Asian market, and adds Suzhou to our global innovation and development footprint.

2014 – Technology moves forward

Phillips-Medisize celebrates 50 years in business. We are proud of our long history of technology and innovation, including our specialization within healthcare.

2016 – Connecting the healthcare future with Phillips-Medisize

Phillips-Medisize acquires Medicom Innovation Partner (DK, UK) and Injectronics (US) to add to its global Innovation, development, and manufacturing services, capabilities, and footprint.

2016 – A historical turning point – Fully Integrated Electronics Capability

After ownership by Kohlberg & Company, LLC from 2010 to 2014, and Golden Gate Capital from 2014 to 2016, Phillips-Medisize is acquired by Molex, LLC, an affiliate of Koch Industries, in October of 2016.
Combining Molex’s global scale in electronics with the medical-focused design and manufacturing strength of Phillips-Medisize, creates a global leader in drug delivery device and connected health solutions, from innovation to development to manufacturing.
