Innovation
EcoPure® is an organic additive that enhances the biodegradation* of traditional plastic products when placed in a biologically active landfill environment. The innovative additive only reacts when the plastic material comes into contact with microorganisms found in landfill environments and not during the useful life of the treated plastic product.
Bio-Tec Environmental, LLC is committed to reducing the amount of plastic waste pollution in the world, one plastic application at a time. We use our developments in biodegradation* enhancing technology, the EcoPure® additive, to help our clients be successful in their business goals, without compromising the environment for future generations.
Environmental Stewardship
Environmental stewardship means putting systems in place that will enhance the efficient use of natural resources, protect the environment and reduce waste in ocean and on land. Our company strives to increase awareness and concern for the environment by addressing the issue of plastic pollution worldwide through EcoPure biodegradable* additives.
Sustainability
The most popular definition of sustainability can be traced back to a United Nations (UN) conference in 1987. It defined sustainable developments as those that “meet present needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs” (WECD, 1987). Our company aims to increase sustainability both now and in the future.

Social responsibility means supporting other environmental and non-profit organizations that are also working to enhance environmental stewardship around the world. Bio-Tec Environmental, LLC supports many organizations that specialize in reducing climate impact, protecting endangered species and conserving nature.
* Biodegradation rates of EcoPure-treated plastic materials measured according to the ASTM D5511 test method. Tests are generally conducted using 20% to 30% solids content; solids content in naturally wetter landfills range from 55% to 65%, while the driest landfills may reach 93%. Actual biodegradation rates will vary in biologically-active landfills according to the type of plastic used, the product configuration, and the solid content, temperature and moisture levels of the landfill.
