Big Valley Molds was founded in 1983. The primary business was making and repairing plastic injection molds. Injection molding was brought into the operation in 1989 at the urging of our mold customers who were having trouble finding good molders. When the mold-maker and the molder are one and the same, with mutual knowledge of both aspects, the result is a mold that will produce high quality, trouble free parts repetitively and in the best possible cycle times. This also allows for providing in-house mold maintenance, revisions and repairs to keep those molds running.
In 2006, Big Valley Molds was sold to Plastaket Mfg. Co., Inc. in Lodi, CA - the manufacturer of the “Champion Juicer”. The equipment was moved into our facility at 6220 E. Hwy 12 (Victor Rd.), Lodi, CA. where Big Valley Molds continues as a division of Plastaket.
We are available for consultation in the part design stage to aid in developing a part that is molding process friendly, as well as recommending types of molds and thermoplastic resins for your projects. These are only recommendations and the final choice is always that of the customers.
Our facilities include our complete mold-making shop with CNC machining and EDM, 11 molding machines ranging from 35 ton / 1 ounce capacity to 500 ton / 60 ounce capacity. Our personnel are experienced, motivated and quality oriented.
