Our Story

Maribeth Sandford started BAG MAKERS in 1980 to provide quality printing, fast service and lower-minimum orders for printed bags. Maribeth bought her first printing press with a loan from her father and started out selling bags by day and printing them by night.

Fast forward to today: BAG MAKERS is now a leading printed-bag supplier in the promotional products industry. We partner with distributors to sell more than 97 million bags each year. We employ more than 415 employees and operate from a 225,000-square foot facility in Union, Illinois, that encompasses office, production and warehouse space.

BAG MAKERS is a printed bag supplier, specializing in non-woven, PET non-woven, paper, plastic, polyester, laminated, cotton/jute, and mesh bags, as well as ribbon, bows and tissue. BAG MAKERS offers a wide variety of creative bag styles and numerous versatile imprint methods to meet customer needs. We also offer custom design capabilities, free artwork services, rush service, and outstanding on-time shipping performance.
