Amelco Industries Ltd is one of the first industries in the south-eastern Mediterranean and Middle East area to supply most of the mattress producers with the necessary raw materials and machinery for the manufacture of innerspring mattresses. The company's objective is to continuously strive to improve the final mattress product and act as a partner to its customers by supporting their bedding needs.
The company was established in 1972 in Nicosia, Cyprus, originally as a raw material manufacturing firm for innerspring mattresses. Bonnell spring units, coir fibre (coconut) pads and cotton press felt were the first items to be produced. By 1985, polyurethane foam, polyester wadding, pillows, hard felt and cotton wadding, had also been added to the product list.
Amelco Industries Ltd soon became the leading raw materials supplier not only in Cyprus but also in the region, with its success and reputation being based on the high quality and service standards associated with its name. In parallel, the exports of the company have been constantly increasing, with 50% of the company's output being exported to customers across 3 continents.
From the early stages, Amelco Industries Ltd offered consulting services not only in the form of feasibility studies for newly developed companies, but also assisting established industries in their expansion programs. Experienced engineers and consultants are in a position to undertake feasibility studies for the installation, maintenance and operation of mattress plants.
Since 1990, Amelco Industries Ltd has added the Machinery Section, offering new and reconditioned second-hand mattress machinery. A wide range of quality machinery for the bedding industry is designed and built solely within the company’s premises. Our machinery is used by more than 50 companies across 5 continents.
The company has successfully participated as an exhibitor of mattress machinery at the 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 Interzum Exhibitions in Cologne, Germany, as well as the 2006 Moscow Interzum Exhibition and the ISPA Exposition in Baltimore, USA in March 2008.
