Specialising in the making of plastic injection moulds Acred Tool & Die was started in 1990 by Robert Develing and Allen Clarke, both qualified Tool & Die Makers having served their time in the mid 1970's. Allen Clarke immigrated to the USA during 1998. Robert Develing remained as a solo founder member.
We have made moulds for the: Motor companies, motor battery manufacturers, electrical, swimming pool, railway, medical, mining, electronics, building industry, packaging industry, tele communications, stationery manufacturers to mention a few.
Three toolmakers plus one learner are employed at present.
Machine tools include all the necessary equipment to produce a quality plastic injection mould. Three CNC milling machines do the bulk of the work. The latest addition is a HAAS VF3D vertical machining centre. These CNC machines are supported by the VISI-Series Release 14 full 3D CAD/CAM package.
There is a converting facility which has grown from a 80 ton DEMAG moulding machine to a 320 ton purchased last year. 11 Machines ranging from 35 tons to 320 tons are available. A staff of 6 members is employed in this section.
